Charles River Apparel is a Proud Supporter of Meals on Wheels America! From January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, we’re donating 3% of net sales from our Franconia Collection to Meals on Wheels for a minimum of $25,000.

Why Meals on Wheels America?

Charles River Cares has always been about creating a table where everyone has a seat — giving back and raising awareness to the underserved. With millions of seniors struggling with food insecurity and social isolation, now is the time we pull a chair for one of the fastest growing populations in our country. Our support of Meals on Wheels America contributes to their fight against senior hunger and isolation and helps them build a stronger network in which local programas across the country are able to deliver nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks that enable America's seniors to live nourished lives with independence and dignity.

Together we raised $25,000 for Meals on Wheels America! Thank you for helping us ensure seniors nationwide receive the vital socialization and nutrition resources they urgently need. We’re looking forward to #QuiltingCommunitiesTogether again in 2024.

Why did we choose the Franconia Collection?

When we released the Franconia Collection, we first saw its popularity in our own office. Day by day, our hallways became runways for quilted vests, jackets, and quarter-zip pullovers. Then, our customers joined in on the love. Why? Because the Franconia is an elegant, year-long staple that transitions easily from work to play — perfect for a year-long giveback program. How else are we supporting Meals on Wheels America?

With more than 5,000 community-based programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation, there are ample opportunities to volunteer. Our home office as well as our national sales team will be taking the initiative to volunteer with Meals on Wheels programs in local communities.
